Boarders
Currently our boarded horses at Bromont are:
Squire is a 1999 bay Hanoverian gelding by Santano out of
a Wittinger mare. Squire is schooled to training level dressage but he is
currently working towards a career as a hunter and is doing extremely well.

Sophie Jumping |
Sophie is a 17 year old chestnut Quarter horse mare also
owned by Sandi. She has been showing Sophie in dressage for the past three
years. In 2002, Sophie was combined trials champion as well as dressage
basic 2 and 3 reserve champion at the Trillium level. In 2003, Sandi and Sophie both had some physical injuries, but
despite that, managed to show at second level and first level freestyle.
Sandi was reserve champion in the freestyle division. For 2004, Sandi had
a very successful season at second level including enjoying riding the second
level freestyle. In 2005, Sandi competed Sophie in her first National
level show at Palgrave. It was a fun first for both!
Willow is a 7 year old bay Quarter horse mare.
Willow was raced in the Quarter horse races as a two year old in the States.
After retiring from that, she started training as a barrel racer. Fortunately,
the owner realized Willow was far too talented a horse for this, and sold her
to Susan as a dressage horse. Willow has been in our barn for two years and
is doing very well. She is a talented dressage mare with excellent rideability. Susan
B is making great strides with Willow.
Jello is a 15.1 hand palomino mare owned by Lee.
We're not quite sure what breed Jello is, but she looks like she has some
Quarter horse and some Belgium in her, but who knows! Jello and Lee enjoy
working at their dressage and going out on hacks in the summer. Jello is
also used as a teaching horse one day a week.
Spirit is an 11 year old warmblood by the Westfalen
stallion Pacific Sunset. He was born at our farm, and was sold to a friend
of ours, Sue who lived in Ottawa at the time. Recently, Spirit has moved
back to our farm for boarding. Spirit and Sue have shown at the basic
levels of dressage and have done very well. Spirit has had a few physical
problems along the way, but is still training on a lighter schedule continuing
to work on his basic dressage.

Chaplin is a 2001 bay gelding by Rio Grande.
He is owned by Jill, and has been at our farm since he was about 8 months old.
Chaplin has been started under saddle and is doing very well at walk, trot and
canter.
Bally is a 18 year old dark bay thoroughbred mare. Jill
owns her as well, and she is the mother of Chaplin. Bally is a retired
show hunter and she is now mostly a broodmare, but since she is not in foal this
year, Jill has put her back into light riding.
Alvin is a chestnut thoroughbred gelding owned by Laura.
At 21
years of age, Alvin is the oldest horse in our barn. He has been a show
jumper, an eventer, and most recently, he has been schooling basic dressage.
Alvin has participated in a few schooling dressage shows, but if you want to go
for a hack, Alvin is the one to go with as he is a good trail buddy.
Windsor is a 17 year old dark bay thoroughbred cross
gelding. Windsor has lived at our barn for the past 9 years, so he has
been with us since we built our indoor arena. He is owned by Julie, who is
an avid dressage rider, and has trained Windsor from basic 1 dressage through to
second level. Julie and Windsor are always in the ribbons and have been
year end champions in the past. Julie showed second level for the 2006
show season and attended the trillium dressage championships.

Louis is a 14.2h Canadian Horse owned by Gwyn.
Louis might be pony in size, but he is mighty! Louis has done very well in
dressage with many first place ribbons to his name. Louis is very versatile and
can do just about anything. He is especially good at driving, and loves to
go for a good hack and a gallop in the fields! Gwyn and Louis have now
moved to Belleville to their own Farm where they continue to show and train at
third level dressage.

season. She also had the highest score in the amateur division as well.
Congratulations to Jenn and Gi-Gi on their first year of showing together.
